Changing
Files Back to Read / Write
Many times, copying files from a CD back to the hard drive will set the files in
Read Only mode. This means that the files can be read but not
changed or deleted. Since The Ultimate cannot run without it's data files
able to be edited, here is a step by step procedure to change all the files back
to Read / Write.
NOTE: This problem manifests itself in The Ultimate if you enter the Customer Maintenance (or any Maintenance screen) and right away get a message reading "File not found in this directory. Please restart The Ultimate".

In My Computer, open the proper hard drive and then the ULTIMATE folder.

Click on the Edit menu and then on Select All.

Click
the Right mouse button on any file name in the "darkened" area.
Click the Left mouse button on Properties.

Make
sure the "Read-only" box is unchecked If it contains a
light or dark check mark, remove it by clicking on the box.
Click Apply to save.

Select
"Apply changes to the selected items, subfolders and files".
Click OK two times to exit.
This process marks all the files as Read / Write for use in The Ultimate.
